Signed for Armadale from Broxburn Strollers. Signed by Hibernian after starring in a cup final at Easter Road. First £100,000 transfer in Scotland when moving to Rangers. Part of the Ibrox team that could'nt beat Celtic's domestic stranglehold but scored in Rangers' famous win against Dynamo Moscow in Barcelona. Moved to Coventry City, back to Rangers and finished at Kilmarnock. Appeared 21 times for Scotland, scoring nine goals. This included the last hat-trick (actually four) for Scotland (v Cyprus in 1969). He donated the jersey he wore which is now displayed in the Volunteer Committee room.
